Encore Comparison

2015 BUICK ENCORE vs 2015 NISSAN JUKE SL

Encore advantages include:
Better looking - Kickingtires.com calls the Juke one of the most "bizarrely styled vehicles around."

More luxury included - Encore Leather 1SL has more luxury with Remote Vehicle Start, a power driver seat, a heated steering wheel and driver seat memory. None of these are offered on the Juke.

More standard premium appointments - The Juke SL may be an uplevel trim, but it's less refined. It lacks the Encore Leather 1SL's heated rearview mirrors, dual-zone climate controls and autodimming inside rearview mirror.

More comfortable - Encore has nearly 3.5" more rear leg room than Juke.

More flexible - Encore is more versatile with a much larger cargo area behind its front and rear seats. It also has a handy fold-flat front passenger seat and luggage roof rack side rails-two more features the Juke doesn't offer.

Better connectivity and Wi-Fi - The Juke offers in-vehicle access to Pandora, iHeart Radio and popular social media sites through the Nissan Connect Mobile Apps interface. Unfortunately, the only way to these sites is through a single paired and connected phone. In Encore, OnStar's 4G with LTE and its mobile Wi-Fi hotspot offer connectivity for up to seven devices simultaneously.

OnStar Basic Plan - Provides 5 years of the Limited Feature Set of RemoteLink for access to remotely start Encore, lock/ unlock vehicle, honk horn and flash lights. Juke does not offer an equivalent feature.

Thoughtful extras - Encore Leather 1SL includes helpful features the Juke lacks with Siri Eyes Free, a 120V power outlet, a picture viewer and OnStar Turn-by-Turn Navigation, which doesn't require an optional navigation system.

Less expensive to fill up - Encore uses regular gas, but the Nissan Juke uses more expensive premium. Encore also has slightly better highway fuel economy than the Juke, which can also save money at the pump.

Better appearance and handling - The standard 18" wheels and tires on Encore give it better appearance and handling compared with the smaller 17" wheels that are standard on the Juke.

Helpful vehicle diagnostics reporting - OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics simplifies vehicle maintenance by making it as easy as checking your e-mail. Every month, Encore owners can have peace of mind knowing that their vehicle's engine, transmission, antilock brakes and other systems have been checked and are good to go. The Nissan Juke doesn't offer a similar feature.

Better occupant protection and advanced crash avoidance features - Encore has important safety advantages with more air bags and standard Daytime Running Lamps. It also offers advanced crash avoidance features including Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision alert, which are not available on the Nissan Juke.

More peace of mind - The Nissan Juke does not have an equivalent to OnStar and its powerful Automatic Crash Notification and emergency services.

More comprehensive owner coverage - Encore has longer new vehicle and powertrain warranties. It also provides extras that the Juke doesn't offer-2 years/24,000 miles No-Charge Scheduled Maintenance and standard courtesy transportation.
