Terrain advantages include:
Remote Vehicle Start convenience - Remote Vehicle Start is standard on Terrain SLT-1 and allows it to be started over 195 feet away. This feature is not offered on Santa Fe Sport.

Ride comfort - Terrain has a longer wheelbase than Hyundai Santa Fe Sport (112.5 vs. 106.3 inches). A long wheelbase contributes to a comfortable ride.

Larger interface -
Terrain SLT-1 features a 7-inch color touch-screen. Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has a 4.3-inch touch screen. To get an 8-inch touch-screen with Santa Fe Sport, you must purchase the navigation system.

Standard built-in hands-free calling without the need for a cell phone -
Terrain's OnStar system includes an embedded phone. To place a telephone call with Santa Fe's telematics system, you must have a linked cell phone.

Siri Eyes Free voice command feature - Not available with Hyundai Santa Fe Sport.

Text Message Alerts - Not available with Hyundai Santa Fe Sport.

Available Rear-Seat Entertainment System - Terrain offers a factory-installed Rear-Seat Entertainment System on SLT 2 and Denali models. A Rear-Seat Entertainment System is not available with Hyundai Santa Fe Sport.

Choice of engines -
Terrain Denali offers a choice of either a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine or a 3.6L V6 engine. An optional engine is not available with Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. If a Santa Fe Sport buyer wants the more powerful
2.0L turbocharged engine he or she must purchase the higher-level Santa Fe Sport 2.0T model.

Superior fuel economy - Terrain, equipped with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, achieves mileage figures of 22 city/32 highway. Santa Fe Sport, also equipped with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, only achieves 20 city/27 highway.

Greater driving range - Terrain's larger fuel capacity combined with its superior fuel economy give it a much longer driving range.

Greater maximum towing capacity - V6-equipped Terrain has a maximum towing capacity of 3500 pounds. Santa Fe Sport tops out at 2000 pounds. For Santa Fe Sport to match Terrain V6 in towing, you must move up to the 2.0L turbo model.

Available crash avoidance features -
Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Alert are available with Terrain SLT-1. These crash avoidance features are not available on Santa Fe Sport.

Complimentary scheduled maintenance -
Terrain includes 2 years of no-charge scheduled maintenance. Hyundai does not offer complimentary scheduled maintenance with Santa Fe Sport.

Terrain advantages include:
Available programmable power liftgate - Terrain SLT-1 and Jeep Cherokee Limited are both available with a power liftgate. The power liftgate on Terrain can be programmed for driver height and potential garage restraints. The Cherokee's liftgate is not programmable.

Available Rear-Seat Entertainment System -
Terrain offers a factory-installed Rear-Seat Entertainment System on SLT 2 and Denali models. This family friendly feature is not available with Jeep Cherokee Limited.

Built-in 4G LTE hotspot -
GMC Terrain SLT-1 includes an in-vehicle 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Jeep Cherokee Limited has a slower 3G system.

More cargo room - Terrain has greater cargo room than Jeep Cherokee Limited regardless of where the measurement is taken-behind front or rear seats.

Siri Eyes Free voice command feature - Not available with Jeep Cherokee Limited.

Text Message Alerts - Not available with Jeep Cherokee Limited.

More maximum horsepower and torque - Terrain's available V6 puts out 30 more horsepower and 33 more lb.-ft. of torque than Jeep Cherokee's available V6 engine.

Greater driving range - Terrain, equipped with either a 4-cylinder or a V6, has a longer driving range than Jeep Cherokee equipped with its comparable engine.

More convenience with Oil Life Monitoring - GMC Terrain includes a standard Oil Life Monitor; a similar feature is not offered on Jeep Cherokee.

Complimentary scheduled maintenance - Terrain includes 2 years of no-charge scheduled maintenance. Jeep does not offer complimentary scheduled maintenance with Cherokee.

More security - Jeep Cherokee does not offer comparable features like OnStar's Stolen Vehicle Slowdown, which helps police recover a stolen vehicle by gradually slowing it down, or Ignition Block, which remotely prevents a vehicle from starting once it has been turned off.
